Hello and thank you if you are reading these words that are my thoughts and perspectives into this new adventure. Some people think since I turned fifty years of age that doing this tour across the U.S. is a midlife crisis. I laugh at them because my mid-life crissis took effect about 5 years back in my 45th year of existence. It was tought to let go to someone you love so much and realize they don’t love you any more the way they used to but where is there fire , ashes and crissis, things clear up and a new beginning takes effect and this is where this tour takes effect. When I decide it to take this journey on, many told me I was insane and that I wouldn’t make it out of my first state and they may well be almost right because Oregon is just amazing and it has taken me to travel to two other continents and 15 countries to see what I have seen in the 700 plus miles I have toured in Oregon so far and the topography along with its people makes it a paradise to cycle and explore. My mother was happy for me to go and had reservations as many as others who love and care for my existence and specially because of the current pandemic but I wanted to come out and explore and see one tenth of what I have seen so far and the satisfaction of propelling myself on a self supported tour overcoming the obstacles of nature, weather and fatigue just fill my heart with pride for myself and this is a time that I feel is one of the best human versions of who I am. I miss more the people that I love and have loved the most because if it wasn’t for them, their profound effect on me would had not put me in these path. Many have done this traveser and many more will do it after me, but every pedal stroke represents the fibers for that blanket for the winter of my life as riding a bicycle to this degree will no longer be possible but the memories of what I am currently seem, smelling, feeling and experiencing will apeace my kinder wondering spirit and looking at a map has more meaning than a tool to avoid been lost but instead is where I found the best version of who I am and if I can accomplish that , there is no money of wealth accomulation that can compare with the treasure of been alive and alive is what I am.
